Optimal management of rare adult solid cancers poses specific diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to the unmet needs of oncologists requiring an update on the latest advancements in these tumors' standard of care. C.A.I.R.O Journal Club felt this need and thus took the initiative to launch a Demand-Oriented Event series in response to the feedback provided from its follower base. C.A.I.R.O Journal Club started an online voting for the most needed underrated cancer type and results show SARCOMA in the 1st place and THYROID CANCER in the 2nd place. The key objective of achieving the best possible outcomes of patients diagnosed with rare tumors is to understand pathological and molecular diagnosis, increase and harmonize the standard of care and develop an algorithm of management that goes hand in hand with the current guidelines So C.A.I.R.O Journal Club will cover both disease areas with a background perspective on state-of-the-art and evidence-based practice towards enhancing the practice of these tumors and bridging the gaps of their unmet needs towards achieving the best treatment protocols and disease management for our patients.
