“Oncology Marathon” first started in Feb 2012, in the form of regular roundtable scientific workshops that focused on the critical appraisal of the most recent clinical trials and publications such as: methodology, assessment of internal and external validity, and application of evidence within the context of regional situation.
In Feb 2014, C.A.I.R.O Journal Club was established to consolidate the success of the Oncology Marathon meetings and was able to establish itself as a credible source of education; holding several large scale monthly educational events with a multi-institutional and multidisciplinary orientation.
GIT cancers in a year will comprise a very competitive drugs comparison including new drugs orientation and debate points for HCC, Gastric, Esophageal & Colorectal cancers treatment plans and disease management. Event will also include a precedent Trial observatory debate discussion on PARADIGM and BRCAness. In addition to, explanation and discussion of the outcomes of the Egyptian Foundation of Medical Sciences (EFMS) Consensus Recommendations 2020: "Resource-Oriented Decision Making for Treatment of Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (mCRC) in a lower-Middle Income Country". The event will encompass a board of local gastrointestinal tract cancer experts including all Egyptian Foundation for Medical Sciences (EFMS) consensus development panelists.Check Event
